ALL of our videographers now have the capability to run Zoom!
Our understanding is that with judge approval, court reporters do not have to be in the room to swear in the witness.
So, what this means is, we can do depositions with just a videographer and a witness in the room.
Our videographers would literally be safer doing depositions than they would be getting groceries!
Here’s how it works:
We put a computer in front of the witness for Zoom, and videotape as normal.
Everyone else including the court reporter can appear over zoom, with the videographer in the room to coordinate.
All we need is a good internet connection at every deposition location.
Videotaping these remote depositions will also ensure that the court reporter gets the best audio they can.
If there are any issues with the Zoom audio, they will still have our audio to fall back on.
